Doctor David Collings

Dr. Collings, ND is thrilled to be practicing as a licensed naturopathic doctor in Thornton, Ontario. After graduating from Naturopathic medicine in 2016, he completed a residency in 2017 in Halifax, Nova Scotia. His residency had a special focus on chronic Lyme disease and the natural treatment of all forms of chronic illness. He then moved to Alliston, Ontario in 2018, practicing as the owner of the Alliston Integrative Health Clinic. A wonderful opportunity came up to join Queens Health Centre and the MDs there, and moved there June 2023. He is pleased to accept new patients in South Simcoe, and acorss Ontario via virtual appointments, especailly those searching for Lyme disease treatment, as it is endemic to southern Ontario.

Through his own personal health journey being diagnosed with Crohn's disease at age 14, he began to foster an interest and respect for the principles and philosophies of Naturopathic medicine at a young age. Dr. Collings, ND strongly believes in “Doctor as Teacher,” as well as treating patients as a whole. He believes it is important to heal mentally, physically and emotionally to optimize health, while preventing and treating diseases.

Dr. Collings, ND is pleased to offer his services in general family naturopathic medicine, with a special interest in Lyme disease, and adjunctive cancer care. He is also trained in and has successfully treated; pain management, chronic fatigue & fibromyalgia, food allergy treatment, heavy metal detox, inflammatory bowel disease & digestive illness, hormone imbalance, adrenal and thyroid function, ADHD, autism, and cardiovascular disease.

For patients with a cancer diagnosis Dr. Collings, ND works toward enhanced survival and quality of life through the integration of Naturopathic medicine into conventional cancer care. Please note we cannot treat cancer itself, which is the job of the medical oncologist. Adjunctive cancer care focuses on supporting patients with a cancer diagnosis by boosting their immune system and reducing side effects of conventional cancer therapies.

Dr. Collings, ND was the first resident to train under Dr. Bryan Rade, ND in Halifax, whose focus in chronic Lyme disease and adjunctive cancer care has helped expand Dr. Collings’ knowledge and skill base in treating chronic disease. David is a graduate of the 4 year Doctor of Naturopathy degree from CCNM in Toronto, and holds an undergraduate degree in Honours (4 year) Microbiology from the University of Guelph. As a licensed ND, he is registered under the College of Naturopaths of Ontario, and holds membership with the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors. He holds additional training and qualifications with the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians (OncANP), and the International Lyme & Associated Diseases Society (ILADS) Dr. Collings, ND also practiced Naturopathic medicine with the Brampton Civic Hospital and the William Osler Health System. He has pursued additional professional training in a number of fields, including: Chronic Lyme Disease management, IV nutrient therapy, allergy & Immunotherapy, and advanced scalp acupuncture.
